Christmas Time at the Orletski House

On Christmas Eve Katie made reindeer food. What is in reindeer food you ask....oats and glitter, of course! They eat the oats and the glitter is to help them guide their way through all the snow covered streets! :)
She took great pride carefully spreading the food all along the snow that lined our pathway! She was so proud!!
Look, Santa came!!!! He was very good to us this year. We are very thankful!
Santa gave Nicholas is own soft chair to sit in and a Little People Garage.
Santa gave Katie a baby center and a baby doll swing.
Miss Katie woke up at 5:45 ready to get the show on the road! Bad news, Nicholas slept in until 7am!
Mr. Man sitting in his new chair....he LOVES Cars the Movie!
Katie and her new baby doll love the new baby center...thanks Santa!
Nicholas checking out his new dump truck.
Katie and Nicholas checking out all the gifts.
Nicholas got the new Wall-E movie....or as he says, "La-La!"
Katie showing off her new Barbie Car....too bad Nicholas played with it all day! If it is a car, he thinks it is his, even IF it is pink!
Katie and her Diamond Castle Barbie...the sing and sparkle! What more could a girl want!!!
Katie gave Daddy a new WII game for Christmas....here they are talking about how to play it!
Thats all for the pictures....I was behind the camera all day....no pics of me this year. Maybe next year! :) We even had a great meal with our friends, the Jones....but I forgot to takes pictures!! I am very bummed! :( Oh, well...like I said before, next year!
From our house to yours...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We love you all!

....And There's MORE SNOW!!!!!!

Another storm came last night....there were a few times we hit blizzard conditions!! All in all, we had around 2 feet of snow on top of the 4 inches we already had on the ground. The news is saying to expect another snow storm on Christmas Eve. Even though the clean up is no fun, we are glad this was all snow. It is the Ice that makes it tough!
We had to squeeze out of the door this morning!! The snow was so deep that we couldn't open our front door! Look at the mail box next to the door!! That is all snow!!
Our front wondows covered by the snow drift.
Here we are trying to open our door.
The snow was knee deep on Jason.
This is our back garage door.
We were given a snow blower...but it wasn't working right....so Jason had to DIG our way out of the snow! What a job! Here he is finishing up the last bit with a friend's blower.

You all know where to come if you want a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!! :)

The Ice Storm!

Friday, December 12th we had an ice storm!! In our area, we had about 1/4 inch of ice that covered tree branches, lines....and just about everything! We lost power for almost 10 hours but luckly it came back on before our house froze!! The coldest our house was 52 (which was better than being outsidewhere it was 12 degrees! ) I didn't think of taking any pictures until today...a day later! So, here is what is left of our ice!! Everything is melting...still pretty, though!
This is all ice!! The snow that we has a few days before had melted before this storm!!

Katie got to carry the measuring stick. She was very proud of her impotant job!

Katie and Daddy finding the perfect tree.

Nicholas and I found a perfect tree...Katie and Daddy thought it was a bit too small!

ELMO!!!

Nicholas and his Elmo slipper!! Just makes you laugh out loud!! :) HAHA!!
We had our first snow fall Sunday night. There was a total of about an inch..but it was all gone by the following afternoon.
Playing in the snow in our Jammies!

Nicholas is such a big boy...he loves sitting at the big table. He will sit in his booster and wants to be pushed up to the big table! Look at that face...you can just see the pride!! He knows he is so big!

Katie wanted curly hair...so last night we braided her hair...
This is after!!! What a cutie!!
